  • I got my date samplers today. First, I went through each compartment to try them all. The second round I went straight to the Deglet Noor. Honestly they are all very good but Deglet Noor is my favorite! It’s the nuttiness with subtle sweet make you want more and more. Thank you Bautista family!Leanne in Rockville, Maryland, 1/9/2015
  • Taste like Cashew Butter. I ordered the largest amount of Samplers and this was the first one that have gone. So.... Delicious! You can’t just stop eating them!Dates Lady, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1/30/2014
  • Complexity develops as you chew; firmer dates can be preferable for this reason. Most dates seem to vary in soft to firm chewiness, like taffy, but Deglet’s texture is more like that of some other dried fruit: a moment’s resistance and then a kind of soft “crunch.” Not chewy. Rather grape like. Tastes just like brown butter. Lightly sweet, so I can eat plenty, like a meal any other food. I had thought I would prefer softer and chewier varieties but this has become my favorite.Andrea H, Ypsilanti, Michigan, 10/13/2013
  • They have a pleasant taste that reminds me of the taste of Longans. My new favorite date, Yum.Brenda Voldock, Barry's Bay, Ontario, 11/14/2012
  • I am not normally a fan of firm dates, but decided to try these since I heard they were fresh and delicious. These are the most flavorful Deglets I have ever had!!Robin, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 10/26/2012
  • I’m in love with Deglet Noors. It’s like eating a box of caramel. I really enjoy celery with Deglet Noors. Nothing like a sweet and salty snack!ElectroAsh,, 3/20/2012
  • Nutty, like Snickers and peanut butter. The least sweet variety.Alvaro Bautista, Bautista Family Organic Date Ranch, 2011
  • Bautista Family Organic Date Ranch has a rare delicacy, “natural” Deglet Noors – picked at just the right texture for immediate consumption, with a translucence that explains the variety’s name in Arabic, “Date of Light.”David Karp, Los Angeles Times, 2009
  • My go-to date for baking. Megan Gordon, The Kitchn, 8/16/2012
